Review: DC Comics - Batman #64

A Case From The Past Is Reopened!

Spiraling out of the events depicted in the pages of Heroes In Crisis, the latest issue of Batmansees Batman and Flash forced to worked together on a case from the Justice League's past.

However, due to holding The Dark Knight responsible for the death of Wally West, the last person in the world Barry Allen wants to work with right now is Bruce Wayne. Even if the Flash Museum finds itself under attack by a mysterious and unseen force! Will the World's Greatest Detective and The Fastest Man Alive be able to step away from each other's throats long enough to solve the case?

We can't say for sure, but they'll be forced to battle some serious inner demons if they ever hope to discover who is really pulling the strings behind the scenes! And, things only get weirder when Gotham Girl reappears to concoct a plan of her own that involves reuniting with her brother by any means necessary!

This was a great starting point for the Caped Crusader's latest story arc, and Joshua Williamson has knocked the debut issue out of the park with a story that pulls you in right from the very first panel! In addition, the art of Guillem March perfectly captures the heroes and villains of the DC Universe, and we can't wait to see what else he'll be bringing to the pages of Batman over the next few months as this new mystery is explored!

Watching Barry and Bruce as they're forced to work together despite their feelings toward one another is certainly to make for some interesting reading as we head into the spring, we're just hoping The Dark Knight and The Scarlet Speedster don't kill each other before then!
